What to bring

  • Your original driving licence. A DigiLocker copy is accepted. We check it at pickup and do not keep it.
  • A government ID: Aadhaar, Voter ID or passport.
  • Foreign visitors: passport and an International Driving Permit.

You must be 21 or older. A second driver can be added. They show their own licence before the rental starts, and you stay responsible for the car.

You do not need to print the booking confirmation. The WhatsApp or email message on your phone is enough.

What the price covers

The daily rate covers the car and unlimited kilometres inside Goa. GST and any extras you choose are added at checkout. Fuel is not included.

Rates depend on the car, the season and the length of the rental. A longer rental brings the daily rate down: the Grand i10 costs ₹1,800 a day for one day and ₹1,100 a day for four. Rates go up from 20 December to 5 January. The price page has the numbers for every car.

A refundable security deposit applies, depending on the vehicle type (deposit rules). Pay it by UPI or bank transfer; we do not take cash, and paying by card adds 10% (minimum ₹350). It is refunded to your bank account within 5 to 7 working days of return.

Fuel

You get the car with some fuel in it. Read the gauge at pickup and return the car at the same level. If it comes back with less, we charge ₹900 for each point of the gauge plus a ₹200 refuelling fee. Fill up before you come back and keep the receipt.

At pickup and return

Take a video walking round the car with you in it, and a photo of the odometer, before you drive off. Our staff will ask for both if there is a dispute later. You can be up to 30 minutes late on return without a charge. After that, late fees apply as set out in our terms. To keep the car longer, tell us at least 24 hours before your drop-off time; an extension depends on the car being free.

Kilometres and where you can drive

Kilometres are unlimited inside Goa. The cars may not leave the state. Crossing the border without a permit can bring a fine of up to ₹10,000. If you need to go out of Goa, book an outstation rental, which has a daily km limit.

Driving on Goa's beaches is against the law. We do not allow off-roading, smoking or pets in the car, and any of them brings a fine and a cleaning charge.

Fines, tolls and damage

Traffic fines, parking fees and tolls during your rental are yours. If a fine arrives after you return the car, we deduct it from your deposit with a ₹500 admin charge.

The optional Collision Damage Waiver covers accidental damage to the car body. It does not cover tyres, side mirrors, interiors, or damage from drunk driving, speeding or careless handling. If you did not take it and the car is damaged, you pay for the repair and the days it is off the road. After an accident, call us, then file an FIR with the police and send us a copy.

All our cars carry black number plates with yellow lettering and a Rent-a-Cab permit, so you can drive them legally for self-drive.

Where you collect the car

  • Mopa airport: you meet the GoiCar team at Counter No. 7, in the Meeters and Greeters Area of the terminal, and your car is handed over at our pickup point. See car rental at Mopa airport.
  • Dabolim airport: a pickup point about 250 m from the airport exit gate. Book 24 hours ahead. See car rental at Dabolim airport.

We also hand over cars at our Nagzar hub. Choose any of these in the booking form; we do not deliver to hotels.
